What is Grappling Booster?
Grappling Booster is a mobile app with grappling-specific strength & conditioning and solo training. It builds guided video routines adapted to your time, location, equipment, level and goals, so you can keep progressing even when you can’t make it to the mats. You can also read our training guides for free to see the thinking behind it.
Who is it for?
BJJ practitioners, wrestlers, judoka and other grapplers of any level who want to improve their strength, conditioning, movement and flexibility around a busy schedule. If you love the sport but can’t train as often as you’d like, it was built for you.
Do I need equipment?
No. There are full bodyweight and mat-only routines. If you do have equipment, bands, kettlebells, a barbell, a box, ropes, a dip bar and more, the app takes advantage of whatever is at hand.
How long are the workouts?
You choose how much time you have and the routine adapts. Individual exercise sets run from about 30 seconds to a few minutes, so even a short break is enough for meaningful work.
How much does it cost?
The app is free to download and explore. Training content unlocks with an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or annual, purchased in the app. Prices vary by country, and the exact price for your region is always shown in the app before you pay. See our pricing page for details.
Which platforms are supported?
iPhone and iPad today: the app is live on the App Store in Bulgaria, and the worldwide release is in preparation. It requires iOS 15.6 or later and pairs with Apple Watch. The Android app is in closed testing, email team@grapplingbooster.com for early access.
What language is the content in?
The app interface is in English. Coaching videos are currently voiced in Bulgarian, and English narration is rolling out, a number of exercises already have English audio.
Can I train without a gym?
Yes. The library includes material for training at home, in a hotel room, outdoors, on the beach, at the gym and on the mat. Our guide on how to train at home with no equipment walks through a full bodyweight session.
Who created Grappling Booster?
The exercise system was created by NAGA & IBJJF champion coach Angel Karaivanov together with founder Georgi Kadrev, a BJJ practitioner and technology entrepreneur. Read more about the team.
